After my dismal performance in meeting R1 deadlines for my top schools, I’m now taking a different path. My basic career goals essay is done, and the aim is to now take essays by school and complete them. I realized I was going all over the place trying to hit sixes!
I’m onto my MIT Sloan essays full steam now. After a fortnight of hibernation (read: laziness), I’m all charged up. My plan is to complete the first draft by tomorrow, and pack them off to my reviewers, so they can send their feedback over the weekend. Then I hit on Darden and Stern – ideally get them out too by Sunday night. Might be a bit too aggressive but this is the only way I can do stuff - under deadline pressure! Otherwise its back to procrastination, a subject which I can ace anyday
I’m the same way, I did a lot of work when the essays were first released, then slowed down quite a bit, and am now am finishing a flurry of activity with getting Chicago (done!) and Stanford submitted for R1.
Thanks for your comments. The second time should be intense.Goodluck with your essays
Hey,
Thanks for the comment on my blog. Well, first of all it makes you feel good that you alone are not procrastinating. But then, it’s not all that good. My best wishes to you for all the apps.
All the best!!!
Nitin.
