I had taken a sanity check on 4th Dec, to get my application process back on track and I’m quite happy I did. So despite targeting 5 very different essay sets, I am pleased with my current status:
.
Columbia: all essays done, revised, checked, reviewed & modified - even the 21st century MBA one. One reco is [...]

Wharton & Chicago came out with their R1 admits almost 2 weeks back, and their deadlines were barely 2-3 weeks before MIT …
.
Is Rod Garcia going thru all the applications himself?
I thought he’d have an Adcom for that
Why then is MIT taking so much time to come out with the interview calls?

I would like to avoid reaching out to any supervisor at my current firm, mainly because no one here knows my plans and it would become difficult for me. Actually I did talk to [...]

Phew, what a week!!!
I just sent off my HBS+CBS essays to my reviewers! Dont know what they’ll say, but the load is off my back. Frankly I’m not too sure of my HBS essays, mainly the first & most important one, accomplishments! Not that I don’t have any, but putting them across in 200 words each [...]

… seems to be on track! Finally!
Reviewer One came back on the Wharton essays, and was pleased with the overall picture. Career goals good, maybe a bit fine-tune needed, nothing major. Setback seems okay, though I should put in something more meaningful for the learnings – some work required to get this essay in shape.
The [...]

Don’t know what outdated [...]
